Since 1882

Spottswoode is a wine producer located in St Helena, in California's Napa Valley. It releases only four wines every year, with the focus being on Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah.

The estate itself was established in 1882 by George Schonewald, who planted grapes and built the Victorian farmhouse which is there today. It came under its current ownership in 1972 when the Novak family bought the estate, and their first Cabernet Sauvignon wine was released in 1982. Today, there are 18 hectares (45 acres) of vines planted, most of which are Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards have been certified organic since 1992.

Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon

A complex and inviting Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon suggesting notes of raw fresh blackberries, crushed graphite, cassis, baking spices, and cocoa powder. Fine tannins provide savory structure, while floral notes of violets and laurel perfume the glass.

Sauvignon Blanc

A beautiful Sauvignon Blanc, marked aromatically by citrus notes – lime, lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of mandarin. Full of white peach and cassis bud, framed with vanilla, ripe pear, green apple, and hints of dried herbs and toasted wheat berry. Rich and textural, with a wonderful minerality and energy that carries into a long, mouthwatering finish.
